Michelle Reed

Michelle Reed is counsel at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP in Dallas, Texas.  She handles a variety of complex civil litigation matters, focusing primarily on securities litigation in federal and state courts where she represents public companies, officers and directors in securities class actions, derivative lawsuits, and SEC enforcement actions.  Ms. Reed also has a strong history of nonprofit and pro bono representation, serving on the Akin Gump firmwide and Dallas Bar Association pro bono committees, achieving multi-year membership in the Pro Bono College of Texas, and acting as co-chair of the American Bar Association’s Derivative Subcommittee of the Class Actions and Derivative Suits Committee.  In 2010, Ms. Reed’s pro bono service was featured in the Texas Access to Justice Commission National Pro Bono Celebration profiles.
